This is a modified position located at the MWVCAA Seymor Family Development Center aimed at assisting households who are experiencing homelessness. Responsibilities include: identifying and coordinating access to resources, working with community partners to resolve gaps in services, being knowledgeable regarding local funding sources, providing as needed case management services, facilitating emergency homeless prevention and barrier removal services, data collection and entry, and working as a member of Seymor Family Development Center. *Bilingual English and Spanish capabilities are highly preferred. 

Job Duties:

  • Facilitates the distribution of homelessness prevention and barrier removal services.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for all families accessing ARCHES services.
  • Performs client assessments to determine vulnerability and risk.
  • Acts as a resource navigator for additional services within and outside of ARCHES.
  • Develops and maintains a safe and healing environment for individuals affected by extreme trauma.
  • Attends community partner meetings. Helps find ways to solve homelessness beyond grant administration.
  • Applies for funding to expand service opportunities.
  • Uses computer to track daily data. Responsible for generating monthly and yearly reports.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and grant program and funding requirements. 


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; two years related experience in homeless or poverty social service programs and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and insured vehicle available for use on the jo.e
  • Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.
  • Must possess basic computer knowledge.

Work Environment:

  • Close quarters, often with a homeless/public or other client population.
  • Indoor work environment with frequent interruptions and demands.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Capacity to work safely in a variety of conditions, i.e. adverse weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

  • Required to frequently reach with hands and arms; regularly required to climb or balance; required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity for handling office equipment.
